Osmosun, an SME from Chartres, participates in the world's first exhibition linked to water technologies

See my news

The months go by and are not the same for the start-up that has become Industrial SME based in Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), Osmosun. Its growth continues and it must be said that climatic, environmental and societal developments can only reinforce the merits of this enterprise: providing drinking water to humanity for decades to come.

With its patented technology based on reverse osmosis and calling on solar energy, the company's ready-to-use solutions are used in all four corners of the planet, even in very inaccessible territories because they are housed in containers that are easily transportable by land, sea, river or air. Osmosun will participate for the first time in IFAT in Munich (Germany), one of the largest trade fairs around technology the environment and especially the water.

The world's first water technology exhibition

For the Chartres SME and its commercial brand Osmosun®, which has become a benchmark player in desalination of seawater and brackish water using solar energysuch participation at the Munich show from May 13 to 17, 2024, represents an exceptional showcase.

The world's leading exhibition for technologies enabling the preservation of the environment, IFAT has established itself as the showcase for innovation in the fields of water management, wastewater treatment, waste and raw materials for municipalities and the private sector.

And a first participation in IFAT which entirely corresponds to the shift taken by this company which is now evolving on a global scale.

Accustomed to major international trade shows

Osmosun has already participated in the 5th Mediterranean Water Forum has Tunis last February and before World Water Forum of Bali to be held from May 18 to 24, 2024. It had already distinguished itself during COP 27. On the occasion of IFAT 2024 it will have a stand which will allow it to present its innovative solutions for a more sustainable water management.

This active presence at major global meetings dedicated to the management of water resources “is an additional mark of the change in dimension of Osmosun, today fully engaged in a phase of industrialization and significant development” underlines the business. “These meetings are key to continuing the development of the group and establishing its reputation.”

Becoming a benchmark in the “low carbon” water market

Created in 2014, Osmosun® aims to become a key player in the “low carbon” water market in order to make drinking water accessible to all.

Osmosun® has developed a unique, economical, clean and sustainable patented solution for desalination of seawater and brackish water that runs on solar energy and without batteries. The units are therefore autonomous.

Osmosun® units can thus produce up to 50,000 m3 of water per day and are among the least energy-intensive and most economically competitive.

As of December 31, 2023, 69 desalination units have been sold in 27 countries.

Strengthen long-standing relationships

The company has stood out for years through its innovation and its expertise; its challenge now is to move up a gear, industrially, to develop all over the world.

The Mediterranean Water Forum thus enabled it to strengthen long-established commercial relations, but also toexpand the local customer network and partners:

We were able to support the brand's notoriety as close as possible to all stakeholders in the sector, and even materialize the signing of a first OSMOSUN 6 BW brackish water solar desalination unit in a tourist area on the Tunisian coast.

Osmosun

Access to drinking water everywhere, all the time with low-carbon solutions

Reverse osmosis desalination units make sea water potable (SW range) but also brackish waters (BW range).

The innovation of the Chartres SME is based on power supply because the reverse osmosis process is energy-intensive.

Osmosun is the only player on the market capable of operating its desalination units off-griduniquely thanks to photovoltaic solar energy without battery, autonomously from sunrise to sunset, producing fresh water at low cost, even in the most remote places, and without CO2 emissions.

However, the brand's installations can also be connected to the network to produce water 24 hours a dayvia a intelligent hybridization from solar energy, the electricity grid and/or other potential sources.
